Rajdhani Express – These trains are an air-conditioned railway that connects India’s main cities directly to capital Delhi, so it is called Rajdhani Express. These also include the fastest trains in India that can run at a speed of around 130-140 km per hour. It was started in 1969

Gatimaan Express – India’s fastest railway running from Delhi to Agra at a speed of 160 km per hour. These rails are fixed at 188 km distance from Hazrat Nizamuddin in Agra only 100 minutes.

Shatabdi Express – The Shatabdi Rail is an air-conditioned intercity rail that only runs day. The Bhopal century Express is one of the fastest railways in India, moving between Delhi to Agra. These trains can reach a speed of 150 km per hour. Its beginning occurred in 1988.

Duronto Express-Start in 2009, this rail service is a non-stop rail which combines the capitals of India’s Metro cities and states. The speed of this rail is almost equal to Rajdhani Express.

AC Express – these full air-conditioned trains connect India’s main cities. It also includes India’s fastest trains with a speed of around 130 km per hour.

Some Important Facts

  • A station is known as a Terminal when the trains can enter and leave the station in only one direction. In other words, the track ends in the other direction. A train has to leave in the same direction as it entered.
  • A Central is a busiest and most important station in a city, which has multiple stations. It deals with a large number of arrivals and departures.
  • If there are at least 3 different routes coming in and going out of a station, then it is called a Junction.
  • The X marks on the last box of the train means that there is no further compartment.
  • Large stones are hanged on the pole so that no wire can be loose.
  • On the side of the track, the insulator (plastic box) is placed above the wires of the electric poles, so that no one can see the current!
