According to the DMRC Act, it can not be changed after the rent assessment committee has fixed the rent. From October 10, the minimum fare will be 10 rupees and the maximum rental will be 60 rupees.
After meeting with DMRC Managing Director, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlaut said that he has directed that unless the Delhi government reviews it, the rent will not be increased.
He also gave information to the Chief Secretary, but when he was asked that there is a representative of the Delhi government in the committee to decide on the rent, why did not he oppose the decision?
On this he said that the Chief Secretary and the Transport Department officials did not go to the final meeting of the committee. DMRC was looking to increase the rent earlier this year, but in the wake of the corporation elections in April, the government had requested to avoid it.
