Kanpur IIT Ragging: 22 students suspended for ragging at IIT Kanpur. IIT Kaanpur has suspended 22 convicted students while taking extremely tough action against ragging. IIT Deputy Director Maninder Agarwal told our reporters that 16 students were suspended for 3 years and the remaining 6 students suspended for one year.

On the night of 19th and 20th August, a case of ragging came up with the students of second year at the hostel.
The IIT administration had formed a committee to investigate. The committee considered 22 seniors feels guilty for this ragging. On Monday, he was given a chance to keep his side. After completion of the hearing, 16 students of the main accused of ragging were suspended for three years. Six remaining convicted students will suspended for one year.
